The Super Cool Power Grid: CNN Video

Consumers (of electricity) are generally unaware that there is some loss of electricity when it is transferred from the major transmission power lines (the grid) into substations and then into your homes and businesses.  This loss, due to the heat that is generated by electricity traveling through the wires, can be substantial. 

Technology to the rescue... 

CNN reported in a short video today an interesting new technology being developed and tested to stop this loss of electricity as it goes from the major transmission grid into a substation in New York.
